ABOUT ME.....

It all started years ago listening perpetually to The Beach Boys “Endless Summer” album on my dad’s old 8-track blaring from the garage. I didn’t know this would plant a seed so deep, that it would influence me for the rest of my life. But it seemed to be more than just wanting to be a “California Girl”. Though I was Minnesota-raised, I had an innate calling to uproot and move to Southern California. I graduated from California State University with a degree in Interior Design and found a career designing kitchens all throughout Southern California. Setting foot in thousands of California homes deepened my interest in residential home design and gave me the opportunity to be a part of every architectural style possible. The diversity of homes in Southern California is a mecca for a designer who loves variety.

Variety seems to be my calling in life. A self-taught mosaic artist, I focus on using objects that speak to me and my passion for California. Typically, retired surfboards and guitars are the substrates for my colorful stained glass mosaic creations. While I love making mosaics, my range also includes painting, photography and custom-made artwork and prop pieces.

Being hands-on is a way of life for me. From building and installing kitchen cabinets to landscaping my own front yard, I take pride in the work I do. Though I am known to be meticulously detailed, I also have the vision to make overall connections and themes fluid within my work.

Now that I am based back in Minnesota, I am excited to bring my experience and passion from the West Coast to a thriving art and design culture in the Twin Cities.

Please view the scope of my work through the online galleries and contact me if you are interested in contract work, commissioned pieces, or any other curiosities. Thank you for your interest.
